No market town would be complete without a traditional high street market and Epping is no exception. In 1253 King Henry III granted the right to hold a weekly market in Epping and to this day the market has continued.
Held every Monday, including Bank Holidays in the High Street, the market consists of over 50 regular traders selling a range of traditional goods including fruit and vegetables, household goods and plants to contemporary products including clothing and home ware and media and technology goods.
The market is traditional and comprehensive, offering the full range of goods everyone is looking for and compliments the High Street transforming 21st Century shopping centre into the past providing an opportunity to experience a style of shopping that is being lost from many towns.
The market is organised by Epping Town Council and for information on the market or trading contact 01992 579444.
